HOW TO ARRANGE AN INTERMENT SCHEDULE

Losing a loved one takes toll on everything and everyone. It is definitely painful especially if you are not prepared at all. This is the time when you don’t know what to do.

On this article, we’ll help you get through it by providing the step-by-step process on how to arrange the interment schedule. But before this, let me give you an understanding about interment and inurnment.

Interment is the burial of a corpse (fresh body) in the memorial lot.

Inurnment is placing the cremated remains (urn of ashes) into the columbarium unit.

Below is the step-by-step process on how to arrange for an interment schedule at Manila Memorial Park/Holy Cross Memorial Park. (If you still don't have a memorial lot in Manila Memorial Park, please click here.)

SECURE ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

1. Copy of Death Certificate

2. Burial Permit – this is usually handled by your funeral service provider e.g. St. Peter Life Plan.

3. Authorization Letter from the Lot owner – the lot owner must provide authorization letter which states that he/she allows the interment of the deceased. A copy of valid ID with 3 signatures must be attached along with the copy of the Certificate of Ownership or Official Receipt of full payment.

4. Consent Letter of the Closest Kin

a. If the deceased is married and the spouse is alive:

· Copy of Marriage Contract

· Consent letter or Affidavit of consent of the spouse that she/he gives her/his consent that the remains of the deceased be buried in Manila Memorial Park/Holy Cross Memorial Park.

· Copy of valid ID with 3 signatures

b. If the deceased is married and the spouse is deceased:

· Copy of Birth certificates of living children (proof of relation)

· Consent letters of all living children

· Copies of valid IDs with 3 signatures

c. If the deceased is single:

· Consent letter or Affidavit of Consent of the closest kin (usually the parent of the deceased, if the parents are deceased, closest kin will be the siblings)

· Copy of valid ID with 3 signatures

5. Senior Citizen ID or PWD ID of the deceased – if available only for internment fee discount.

BRING THE DOCUMENTS TO THE SERVICING SECTION IN THE PARK OFFICE.

Each park offices has Servicing Section. As soon as you arrived at the park office, just inform the guard that you need to arrange

the interment schedule.

PAY THE INTERMENT FEE

The regular interment fee is 55,000. If senior or PWD, the discounted cost is 39,285.71. Please bear in mind that this interment fee is for fresh body only.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Arrangement must be done 3 days prior the interment schedule.
